Save Our Public Schools: Friday, February 26 @ 7PM
NYC leaders continue to show us how inept they are. The vaccine rollout has caused frustration with online appointments, inequities, and communications. Small businesses, renters, NYCHA residents – pretty much all of us – are still struggling. It’s clear that support from electeds is designed to help them succeed at getting the jobs they want, NOT doing the jobs they have!
And public schools are the best example of how dangerous career politicians have become.
Just this week:
– We learned that parents and PreK teachers will be required to request & submit a referral (and possibly sit for a zoom interview) for G&T admissions this fall.
– School funding is in total crisis, due to enrollment changes and budget negotiators who place a low priority on public education.
– Elections for school district leaders (CEC members) are just weeks away, and virtually no information has been provided to parents.
I am the only Manhattan Borough President candidate, who will prioritize education and reimagine schools as the anchor of our communities once again. If we want New Yorkers to live, work and raise families here, we have to save our schools.
